Licence to use vacant land

As some of the land will not be developed in the immediate future, licence can be issued to prospective licensee to use the vacant land for suitable purposes on a short-term basis (less than 3 years).
Locations of some of the land available are as follows :
- Sungai Nibong
- Bayan Lepas
- Batu Maung (licence on yearly basis)
- Paya Terubong
- Macallum Street Ghaut
- Bandar Seberang Jaya
- Bukit Tengah
- Bukit Minyak
- Timur Batu Kawan

Application is subject to PDC approval based on suitability of land use and location. The licence rate is RM0.40 – RM0.50 per square foot on the Penang island and RM0.20 – RM0.40 per square foot in Seberang Perai, subject to a minimum licence rate of RM1,500.00 per month per site.
Activities that can be considered are temporary and mobile in nature such as:
- Site office
- Cash crop
- Second hand car dealer
- Store for construction material
- Advertisement bill board
- Carpark
- Semi auto car wash
and other activities subjected to the suitability of the site.
